When you are in a cold space or air-conditioned, sometimes someone feel chills. This is because the wobble is one way the body does to warm themselves or make its body temperature is normal.

"E.g. room temperature 20 degrees, whereas the normal body temperature is 37 degrees, then the chills is a great way to warm up the body," says Prof Dr Ir Deddy Muchtadi, MS of Bogor agricultural University in the Pocari Sweat conference 2012 ' Education Society of the importance of fluids and Ions to keep your Everyday Health ' at the Hotel Le Meridien, Jakarta, Saturday (11/2/2012).

Prof. Deddy speak if someone used the jacket then it is one way to keep the body temperature so as not to drop or decreased, so people who normally do not always experience of using a wobble in the cold air.

Additionally despite being in the cold air and the body does not sweat, but actually the liquid inside the body still issued in the form of urine and breath. If the fluid is not replaced then can immediately triggered the dehydration that makes the function body cannot work optimally.

"For that we still need to drink even though don't feel thirsty when it is in the cold air, because this water can serve to stabilize body temperature," said Prof. Deddy.

Prof. Deddy speak dehydration is a common health problem in Indonesia, but unfortunately many do not realise. Symptoms of dehydration that appear like skin and dry mouth, reduced the volume of urine, sweat, saliva, tears and tears without removing the final stages can make blood pressure go down and fainted.

The amount of fluid is recommended for consumption was 2.7 liters per day for women and 3.7 liters per day for men. However this fluid needs depending on the activities carried out, the environmental temperature and humidity as well as the types of food consumed.

In addition to regular drinking water alone is not enough, because the ions in the body also decreases and needs to be replaced. There are a lot of ions in the body such as sodium, potassium, chloride, calcium and phosphate.

"If someone really wants the salt, can mean the person is deficient electrolytes. If sodium levels in the body is too low can cause symptoms like mental disorientation (confusion), nausea and fatigue can trigger muscle cramps that cause seizures, "said Prof. Deddy.
