Juan Valverde de Amusco (or "de Hamusco") (1525 -?) Was born in the Kingdom of Leon is now the area of the Spanish state. He studied medicine in Padua and Rome and guided by Realdo Columbo and Bartolomeo Eustachi. He was much to publish his work in the field of anatomical sciences including De animi et corporis sanitate tuenda libellus (Paris, 1552).
Valverde's most famous works is the Historia de la composicion del cuerpo humano, which dipublikaskan first time in Rome in 1556. Four of the existing images taken directly from De Humani corporis fabrica work of Andreas Vesalius. Vesalius responded to this as an act of plagiarism for his work. However, Valverde did some corrections to images such as depictions Vesalius muscle in the eyes, nose, and larynx. Picture of Valverde's most famous and is the original work is the image of a body with the Tampakan muscle and skin that was holding a knife on the other hand. This image is connected with St. Bartholomew in the Last Judgement (Michelangelo) in the Sistine Chapel.
